Overnight – Good movie
April 18, 2007
I was in a crappy mood last night, partly because of my hubby’s recent bad behavior, so my lovely young husband tried to cheer me up. In an unusual show of affection/romance/awareness he rented out some vids and got some red wine (which he hates).
The stand out movie we watched was Overnight. A documentary about a phenomenal asshole (that’s how they spell it in the USA didntchaknow?) and film/rock star wunnabe called Troy Duffy. Working in a bar in Boston he suddenly gets Miramax knocking on his door wanting to throw money, fame and success at his feet due to his first screenplay Boondock Saints, but his huge ego has other plans for him. He’s personality is so completely out of touch with reality that I was constantly questioning wether or not Overnight was infact a doco or was fictional. After much googling I discovered it’s a true real story. What a horrible man… And how horrible that he looks like my DAD!
Unbelievable. Watch it.

Cowboy Boots
April 17, 2007
I finally got my hands on a pair of hot as cowboy boots courtesy of ebay! So then I got to enjoy the realisation that nothing, literally nothing in my wardrobe matched my new boots. I tried them on with everything and would stomp into the bathroom, look in the full length mirror only to stomp back out a little more frustrated. My husband stared at me bewildered by the beast he’d come home to and was enlisted to tell me when I looked good, just so that I could snap back “what would you know about fashion anywaysSSS!!!!!!??????”
So here I have put together a look that I intend to collect ASAP for Autumn. We have:
* Cowboy boots from ebay
* Crocodile print leather handbag (and yes I am a hypocritical vegetarian) from Manzoni
* Chunky gold bracelet from Manzoni
* White bustier from Supre $35
* Black skinny leg jeans from Supre $50
* Black Bolero jacket from Supre $35
Voila. These boots are ready to walk out the door and crunch all over the fallen leaves that should be happenin’ any day now right?

Hello Autumn 2007
April 11, 2007
Right now I am so loving my post summer thong tan! There is nothing more Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi…
I especially love my tan combined with the obligatory dark nail polish that pops up around the colder months. Now that I am slowly making the transition from thongs to toe covering heels, I get a kick out of seeing my tan lines peeking out. There is something so cheeky about it – like tattoos that just poke out above the bikini for the girls, or the tip of a tat sneaking out of a collar on a sexy guy.

Introduction
April 3, 2007
This is going to be my diary on my desperate pursuit of a career in magazine publishing (preferably women’s interest). I’ve watched the movie The Devil Wears Prada, and watch Ugly Betty on TV when I can and although they often paint a less than appealing portrait of the world of gossip, fashion and lurve, I am not put off! I want in. And I want it now! I don’t care if I have no talent. I don’t care that I lack experience. I don’t even care that my hair looks like crap!
How many blogs in my life have I begun and then dropped like a soggy sock? I honestly have lost count thankfully. It’s like that question, when your self confessed ‘formerly frigid’ friend pipes up with a gem like “I had two one night stands last week! How many people have you slept with in your life?” She’s obviously feeling energised with her foray of sexual liberation in the naughties, but I have forayed enough to not really feel like shouting out a number to the wind… Do you count the ones of whose names you remember only? The ones you liked? The ones you are actually quite proud of? The ones that come in handy for anecdotes? Or the real, down and dirty estimate of a figure? My style is to NEVER admit to the real number. The second that you forget/don’t know a name, or link (in terms of blogs), is the time to stop counting!
So I am approaching this blog with renewed optimism – the same way I approached my recent marriage – hoping it will be the happily ever after riding off into the techno sunset type of pairing I had always dreamed off.
